Privacy, in plain words
Last updated October 15, 2026
Purractice is a free hobby project made by a parent. It has no ads, no tracking scripts, and no advertising or analytics cookies. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
Just trying it?
Try five questions without an account. Demo answers stay in this tab’s memory, are never synced to a family account, and disappear when the page is reloaded or closed.
With a family account, we store
- the parent email address you sign in with
- your kids' nicknames, practice answers, stars and settings
Please use a nickname, not your child's real name. We never ask for a child's email, age, photo or location.
Problem reports
If someone signed in to a family account sends a problem report, we store the message and, if they leave the box ticked, the app version, current level and device type (like “iPad · Safari”), linked to their family account. A copy is emailed to the Purractice inbox so we can follow up and reply to you. Reports and their emailed copies are deleted when the account is deleted, or after 12 months.
Who can see it
Only you, when signed in. Each family's saved progress is locked to its own account.
Services that run Purractice
- Supabase: parent sign-in and the saved progress copy
- Resend: sign-in, confirmation and problem-report emails
- Cloudflare: website hosting
They handle this information only to run Purractice.
What our services see automatically
Like any website, the services that run Purractice automatically receive technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. They use these to deliver the site, send emails and keep things secure. We can see overall visit counts, but we don't use this information to track or profile anyone.
Cookies and device storage
The website uses one cookie, only to keep you signed in. The game also saves progress, settings and your sign-in in the browser on your device so it works offline. Anyone using that device can see that progress. Signing out does not erase it; clearing this site's data in the browser does.
Reading problems aloud
“Read it to me” uses your device's built-in voice. On some browsers that voice is an online service, and the problem's text is sent to the browser maker (such as Google or Microsoft) to be spoken. Word problems contain no personal information.
How long we keep it
If a family account isn't used for 12 months, we delete the account and its saved progress. You can delete sooner at any time.
Deleting
- In the game, open Grown-ups and choose “Delete synced copy” to remove your saved progress.
- To delete your whole account, email hello@purractice.com from the account's address. It will be removed within 7 days, with a reply when it's done.
